Galaxy Collision

According to NASA and most of the astronomical society, in 5 billion years our galaxy will collide with the Andromeda galaxy. By that time, our sun will be transitioning into a white dwarf dead star running on the remainder of its heat.
Many of the scientists believe that the stars themselves won't collide with eachother because they're so spaced out, excuse the pun.

Eventually the super massive black holes at the centre of the two galaxies will merge together and the two galaxies will become one large galaxy.
