Food Hack

If you have an avocado or other fruit that isn't ripe, you can speed up the ripening by placing a freckled banana next to it. 

When a banana is covered in Brown dots or freckles, it is fully ripened and is giving off ethylene gas, this causes other fruits close by to ripen quickly. 

You could leave the freckled banana next to the fruit for a day then eat the fully ripened banana and then eat the other ripened fruit the following morning. 

Cashew Apple

Cashew nuts come from the Cashew tree with an accessory fruit attached to it. The fruit is commonly known as a cashew apple.

They're not exported to the north western countries because they don't last very long. 

People that eat them consider them to taste like a mixture of a pear and cucumber with lemon juice added. Cashew apples are often boiled in water to make them into a juice drink or Chutney.
