Before Charles Manson got his followers to go on a killing spree, he met Brian Wilson, a band member of the beach boys and tried to get him to add one of his songs. Eventually he agreed but changed the lyrics and name of the song. The song was originally called cease to exist, the tune was identical but they played it in their own style.
