Did you know the Clock radio Signal that sets the clocks in Britain often difts off across Europe. This is because it uses a long wave frequency and can sometimes get reflected off cloud clouds or charged parts of the atmosphere.

The transmitter is located in Cumbria in the North of England but it can easily jut out across Ireland and parts of north Europe. 

The signal carries the date and time and the day of the week. All the information needed to a decent radio controlled clock.
