Edelweiss Song

“Edelweiss” from The Sound of Music is a song about the edelweiss flower. 🌼

The flower is used as a symbol of the Austrian countryside and, in the context of the musical, as a symbol of home, Austria, and affection for the country.

One interesting little fact: the song wasn't actually an old Austrian folk song. It was written specifically for The Sound of Music by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II.

So the Edelweiss is actually a flower, not a person or a feeling. They grow in the mountains are very tough, a bit like daisies. 

Raisins Are Grapes

Raisins are grapes that are dried up, all the water is removed. If you drop a raisin in water and leave it there for a while, it will swell up and resemble a grape. In some cases it will almost look like a fresh grape depending on how the water was removed. 

Normally it won't quite resemble a fresh grape because the drying process changes the cell structure but when it is fully hydrated, it would still be a grape, just not fresh looking. It would look like a bruised grape with some wrinkles.

Month 2 has 28 days or 29 on a leap year.

It is a strange looking cactus called Hylocereus. It looks like a tree with lots of cactus branches sticking out of it. 

The fruits are very sweet.

If you see a BT  global billboard, there is  often a hidden phone on the side of the display that lets you make a free phone call. 

Many one then have a dial pad with a speaker and microphone and a button to speed dial emergency services. 

They also have usb charging  ports so you can charge up your phone. 

Twin Magic

In Terminator 2, Linda Hamilton's real identical sister played as the Robot Clone of her character Sarah Connor. 

Her sister played the T1000, a robot that can mimic anything or anyone it sees and completely shape shift. 

Many people thought it was a special effect but it was actually her real twin sister.
